Leading drawing art teacher will lead a workshop inside Holy Cross Church. They will teach drawing techniques using a once in a lifetime available subject matter: a massive moon placed inside the church. The core of light reverberating from inside the moon will provide students with a suggestive and suitable subject to learn techniques such as tone, shade, volume, texture, and perspective.
The workshop will be an opportunity to learn and appreciate the techniques that Old Masters such as Turner and Constable used to arrange their legendary landscape scenes. The awe-inspiring subject of the workshop, with its large scale and all-embracing presence is the ideal subject to understand the idea of the Sublime and awe-inspiring depictions of nature typical of Romantic artists such as Turner and Constable themselves.
