The Goodenough Theatre Company recreates the free-thinking bohemia of Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes and Lytton Strachey in a revival of the little-known Memoir Club. Set up in the aftermath of WW1, the Club reunited the Bloomsbury artists and writers in reminiscing about their bygone heyday and many colourful relationships over soirées of characteristic decadence. The biggest challenge: a soul-baring pursuit of truth, with all its inevitable consequences.
Join them for an immersive evening of jazz and cocktails as they unravel their own pasts and selves in the bowers of the beautiful Bloomsbury Hotel.
Based on real memoirs read for the Club. Written, adapted, and directed by Anjali Bhat.
Performances: Sat 20 Oct, 3pm & Sun 21 Oct, 3pm; Running time approx 2 hours
Tickets: £20 (includes cocktail on arrival)
