Administration and Fundraising Officer
What is your job?
General administration of the festival including booking venues, programming walks, administrating launches, receptions and meetings, as well as recruiting volunteers, researching new fundraising opportunities and liaising with partners.
What is your favourite thing about working for Bloomsbury Festival?
The vast variety of events that are programmed for the Festival. There’s literally something for everyone. This year particularly is exciting as the theme – Activists and Architects of Change – brings with it so many possibilities and avenues for discussion and creativity.
What is your favourite place in Bloomsbury and why?
I love the Wellcome Collection, there’s always really interesting things on there – a favourite installation of mine was Ann Veronica Janssens’ yellowbluepink back in 2015.
If you could take your mum/sister/grandmother somewhere in Bloomsbury, where would it be and why?
The Coral Room in the Bloomsbury Hotel – a beautiful setting for a cocktail or two.
What are you most looking forward to about Bloomsbury Festival 2018?
Roll Up Store Street. The night-time street party on Store Street is always a highlight – and this year’s theme is circus! I can’t wait to see the street transformed.
