Event Details
We pass by benches, often on our hurried way to somewhere. They seem of little importance. However they have a new view of the world to offer to us if we accept their invitation to sit and pause for some time.
Presented as an outdoor talk with activities, Dr Birgitta Huse, Social Anthropologist, arouses your curiosity about Bloomsbury benches and invites you to have a closer look – and sit down. Visitors will experience special views which stimulate your senses and learn thought provoking facts. Birgitta elaborates the pivotal role benches play in Bloomsbury culture. Your relationship with benches will be different after this event, even if they were important places of wellbeing for you before.
This event will go ahead regardless of weather on the day.
