Event Details

Walk in the footsteps of visionary poets William Blake, WB Yeats and Arthur Rimbaud with Aidan Andrew Dun, the current Voice of Kings Cross. Kings Cross was central to Blake’s vision for a New Jerusalem, which prefigured its modern incarnation and the coming of the University of the Arts. Blake wrote his famous lines, ‘The fields from Islington to Marylebone, to Primrose Hill and St John’s Wood were builded over with pillars of gold, and there Jerusalem’s pillars stood.’

Explore the hidden history beneath your feet, from its ancient origins in London’s sacred hills and rivers, to the dark days of the industrial age, its decline and regeneration. Visit the oldest church in England. See Kings Cross with new eyes and prepare to be inspired.
