A celebration of words and writing through talking, listening, and creating together. How can exploring the writing process deepen our own work?

An afternoon of conversation and creativity celebrating the power and impact of words, while exploring the processes behind great writing. How is memorable writing created, and how can examining the writing process help us grow as writers ourselves?

Award-winning writers’ organisation 26 believes in the transformative power of words. Its name comes from the 26 letters that form the basis of a language shared by more than 1.5 billion people worldwide. Each year, 26 hosts its “Wordstock” festival for anyone – from any field – who loves words and writing.

Part inspiration, part celebration, the afternoon will feature interviews, workshops, and collaborative writing sessions led by members of the 26 community alongside guest speakers. Designed to broaden horizons and bring together like-minded lovers of language, the event offers space to listen, write, drink tea, and share ideas.

There will also be a small exhibition of poetry and art from 26’s recent projects.

Make sure to bring a notepad, and a pen or pencil of your choice…
