A theatre-making workshop, combining vocal coaching, improvisation and a creative producing discussion.

The Avieli Arthouse welcomes you to Let’s See What Happens: Stories of Joy; an multidisciplinary theatre-making workshop, bringing communities together in a celebration of collective joys, hopes and dreams.

You are invited to participate in vocal coaching, led by singer and actress Esther Foga. This is followed by a theatre devising session facilitated by director Patrick Bayele, based on his ‘unfolding’ practice, in which we’ll become an ensemble to bring our stories of joy to life. Our session concludes with a lively discussion and Q+A hosted by creative producer Aixa Amarante Naranjo, exploring representation and artistic community empowerment. Through each session, our stories of joy will become an emotional and imaginative through-line, animating our creativity, insights and impulses.

Our workshop is open to all. Whether you are curious (and perhaps a bit nervous!) about theatre-making, an artist of a different discipline, an industry professional, or entirely new to theatre-practice, we welcome you to a refreshing and exciting opportunity to explore, play and make something beautiful out of your stories of joy.
