LifeLines - Poetry in Motion - an entertaining and thought-provoking performance of original dance, poetry and live music

LifeLines - Poetry in Motion - Join us for an entertaining and thought-provoking hour or so of original dance, poetry and live music brought to you by Sage Dance Company, Rack Press Poets and Friends. This is the third collaboration between Sage Dance Company - a community ballet-based and contemporary dance performance group for people aged 55 years and above who share a passion for dance in all its forms.....and Rack Press - a publisher of attractive, limited edition poetry pamphlets by over 50 contemporary poets and winner of the Michael Marks Publishers Award (2014). Rack Press co-publisher and poet Nicholas Murray, and novelist and poet Michele Roberts will be reading from their own works. We are also joined by Alice Mary Jelaska, a British - Croatian singer, clarinettist and composer who will be singing some of her own songs as well as classics from the jazz, world and folk music canon.

There will also be contributions from a variety of dance friends and choreographers....and even an opportunity to join the company in a little dancing yourself - should you feel so inclined!
