An immersive oral history installation project distilling a century of nursing into one time-bending 24-hour shift. R&D and consultation phase.

Moments of Grace is an immersive sound and light project that aims to distil a century of nursing and midwifery stories into one time-bending 24-hour shift. Oral histories and original music are sequenced to clock time, while a light sculpture marks the passing hours.

A site-specific iteration of Moments of Grace explores how care reshapes our experience of time: lives change in an instant, a night shift feels like a lifetime, and brief encounters remain vividly present decades later.

Audiences are invited to take part in an immersive listening experience and storytelling workshops in the contemplative environment of Holy Cross.

This R&D and consultation phase showcase will also act as a public call-out for nurses, midwives and carers interested in contributing stories and experiences towards a future large-scale spatial sound installation, which is currently in research and development.
