At Arcus Rooftop Bar and Restaurant above The Imperial, join UCL astronomers for an evening of stargazing above the city.
Set above The Imperial, Arcus Rooftop Bar and Restaurant invites you to see London from a different perspective. The sweeping skyline views stretch for miles, this evening turns your gaze elsewhere - upwards. Guided by astronomers from UCL, including Dr Francisco Diego of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, guests are invited to explore the night sky through specialist telescopes and equipment, uncovering the stories written above the city. The astronomical targets for the evening would be the moon, the planet Saturn and the Pleiades star cluster.
Should the skies prove elusive with low visibility, the experience continues indoors. The bar becomes a space of discovery, with talks, audio-visual presentations and displays that bring astronomy closer, whatever the weather.
Your ticket includes a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink to enjoy as the evening unfolds.
