A Guide to UCL Museums open during the Bloomsbury Festival 2026 - UCL's Grant Museum, Petrie Museum and Art Museum

Please check UCL Museums for any updated opening times during the festival month. Saturday Opening Times (where relevant) from 11am to 5pm.

UCL Grant Museum of Zoology: Free entry.  Booking is not required, unless attending for research or if you have a group larger than 10 people.

UCL’s Grant Museum of Zoology is home to 100,000 specimens from every continent, every ocean, and every animal group. The collection has been used in teaching and research since 1828 and continues to have huge impact on how we understand and learn from the natural world.

Opening hours:

Tuesday - Friday: 1pm–5pm; Saturday: 11am–5pm; Closed Monday and Sunday.

Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology: Booking is not required, unless attending for research or if you have a group larger than 8 people.

UCL’s Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology is home to one of the world's largest and most important collections of Egyptian and Sudanese archaeology, telling the stories of people who lived in the Nile Valley in the past.

Tuesday - Friday: 1pm–5pm; Saturday: 11am–5pm; Closed Monday and Sunday.

UCL Art Museum: 

Free entry.  Booking is not required, unless attending for research.  The UCL Art Collection is home to over 10,000 sculptures, paintings, prints and drawings from the 1490s to the present day. Explore the collection through a series of pop-up displays in UCL Art Museum's Prints & Drawings Room.
