Celebrate African culture through creativity in this hands-on weaving and textile workshop with the School of African Languages
Join us with leaders from the School of African Languages ( About Us - School Of African Languages) for a creative and engaging arts and crafts workshop inspired by the rich traditions of African weaving and textiles.
Participants will create their own woven artwork while learning about the meaning behind patterns, colours and techniques used in textile traditions across Africa. Through hands-on activities, attendees will explore how textiles can tell stories, express identity and celebrate cultural heritage.
Suitable for primary school children (KS1 and KS2), families, adults and community groups, this interactive session encourages creativity, cultural understanding and self-expression in a fun and welcoming environment.
