Just Turn UpA project led by textile artist Mei Lock, this exhibition showcases placemats made by local residents through HCA's Sunday Social programme.
Welcome to My Place is a community exhibition created through Holborn Community Association’s Sunday Socials programme, which offers Camden residents a regular opportunity to connect, share a meal and take part in free creative activities. In July 2026, artist Mei Lock invited participants to co-create a series of placemats exploring the themes of home, place and belonging. Each placemat marks a personal response — a reflection on where we come from, where we feel rooted, and the everyday rituals that make a place feel like our own.
The exhibition also features new works by the No Working Title Textile Collective, celebrating the local area through its people, histories, cultures and familiar objects. Together, these placemats form a collective portrait of Bloomsbury and Holborn, shaped by many hands and many voices.
Welcome to My Place highlights the power of making together and the importance of community spaces where creativity, connection and belonging can flourish.
