I was searching for inspiration and found myself bombarded by a series of memories. Each memory:
- was during a rainstorm
- involved some kind of sugary treat (don’t tell my dentist)
- usually took place somewhere far from home (don’t tell my wallet)
It was in these moments, I realised, that inspiration found me. I would usually come away from them with an idea, a poem, an image… I have scribbles of these moments in notebooks and collected in partial phrases written on the notes app on my phone.
I have tried to capture three of these memories in postcards and poems. Yes, if you were wondering, I ate a lot of sugary treats while I was making them.
