My mother my daughter and her daughter soon
tend our flock
to grow the wool
to make the yarn
that feeds my loom
that spins the threads
that make the vests
that fill my stall
invaded by bulging tourists
who spill from buses
to spread their coins
for ‘handmade wares,’
embroidered truths,
and seamless histories.
