A physical-musical ensemble piece by the Alot Teatro collective, centered on the dynamic interplay of the voices and bodies of the actors.

The performance’s musical dramaturgy features reimagined and developed polyphonic chants rooted in Mediterranean oral traditions. The collective has meticulously researched and studied from November 2022 to September 2024 in Sardinia, Corsica, and Sicily through dedicated expeditions. These explorations form part of a comprehensive project aimed at delving into the rich polyphonic traditions of that area.

Alot Teatro’s repertoire includes religious polyphonic songs with three and four vocal parts. During the performance, the actors reinterpret these songs, transcending the religious origins to reveal their intrinsic vitality and physical resonance, both for the performers and the audience.
