Anchorage, Alaska, 1964. The biggest earthquake in US history. As the world crumbles, communications are down, and people need help. Only one part-time radio presenter takes to the airwaves. And she stays there. For 24 hours straight.
This fast-paced show tells the extraordinary true story of Genie Chance, a part-time radio presenter and working mother, who became the one woman communications-bureau during the 9.2 magnitude Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964. With a host of comic characters played by two performers, Down to Chance explores how communities pull together in crisis and the terrifying weight of responsibility in an emergency.
Maybe You Like It creates collaborative, high-energy stage shows and podcasts that aim to entertain and engage audiences aged 18-30 with accessible, comedic work. Previous work has taken them across the UK, from Cornwall to Edinburgh.
