Vyte Garriga is a London based actress, playwright, and physical theatre performer from Lithuania. She graduated from RADA MA Theatre Lab in 2018. Her play 2nd Portrait of Dorian G written for Macready Theatre in association with Bloomsbury Festival was nominated for an Offie 2023; her play Paper Swans transferred to Soho Theatre for a run this April after its success at Edinburgh Fringe 2024. In this workshop, Vyte will share exercises, tips and tricks that she uses to start writing (regardless whether it is a play, a poem or an essay), surprising yourself, getting out of the writer’s block and marrying the body and the mind. Expect unconventional but practical approaches on how to starting writing, time and space to explore them and even leave with your first piece.

Please bring your preferred equipment to write on (laptop, tablet, notebook etc), a pen and some paper.
