Event Details

Enjoy a musical performance of songs and readings through the centuries, bringing together local choirs from across Bloomsbury to explore the hidden history of St Giles-in-the-Fields parish.

With readings from Dickens, Peyps, and other local favourites, Sing Ballads of Bloomsbury will take audiences on a time-travel tour through the area’s rich history, uncovering stories about local notorious characters. Featuring family favourites from the musical Oliver! alongside traditional ballads, this musical performance will have you singing about “The Streets of London” long after you’ve left!

Sing Ballads of Bloomsbury is produced and directed by Bloomsbury Festival, in partnership with St Giles-in-the-Fields Church and the Charles Dickens Museum.

Executive Producer – Rosemary Richards
Producer & Director – Ellie Cooper
Musical Director – Vivien Ellis
With special thanks to Wil James
