Dr. Ayse Akarca is a former research fellow at UCL and an artist.

Human life is rich with emotions, that are central component of heath and wellbeing. This exhibition brings awarenesss of our feelings residing at the centre of our deepest, most meaningful, personal experiences. The artworks highlight the range of emotions, thoughts and messages that came with the the artist’s scientific discoveries. The paintings push the boundaries and fuse the worlds of science and art, in order to bring life to the reality of disease and pain. Engaged in the communities of both art and science, the artist Ayse believes strongly that working in a cross-disciplinary environment can open up and broaden perspectives, encouraging audiences in both fields.
