Step into the shadows this Halloween weekend for a late-night screening of the silent horror masterpiece Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922).
In the dramatic setting of Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, international award-winning organist Aaron Hawthorne will create a thrilling live soundtrack on the church’s famous pipe organ, nicknamed “The Bloomsbury Beast.” His score will be entirely improvised, responding moment by moment to the eerie images of this pioneering German Expressionist film.
More than a film screening, this is a cinematic concert: flickering black-and-white horror accompanied by thunderous live organ, filling the vast acoustic of one of London’s most remarkable church interiors.
Released over a century ago, Nosferatu remains one of the most haunting and influential horror films ever made. Experiencing it with live organ accompaniment recreates the electrifying atmosphere of early cinema while offering a unique and unforgettable night out.
Perfect for lovers of classic film, gothic horror, live music, and unusual late-night cultural experiences.
