Just Turn UpTwo Centuries Here is a major, new multi-space exhibition in the heart of UCL’s historic central London campus. Open until 31 July 2027.
Explore UCL’s past, present and future in Two Centuries Here, a major new exhibition marking 200 years since UCL's founding as the first university in London. As London’s first and largest university, University College London was established on a radical idea: education for all regardless of religion or social background. Since 1826, it has grown from a small community of visionaries on the city’s edge to a global force for learning, research, creativity and innovation. Running throughout our bicentennial year, Two Centuries Here is a new multi-space exhibition in the heart of central London, tracing UCL’s origins and exploring 200 years of ground-breaking research, innovation, education and impact. Through photography, objects, artefacts, stories, dialogue, and interactive experiences, the exhibition invites you to explore and discuss UCL’s rich history, influence and role in society, and collectively imagine what the future could look like.
The exhibition takes place throughout UCL’s North and South Cloisters, the Octagon Gallery, Japanese Garden and Student Centre. Designated exhibition wayfinding is onsite.
