In this illustrated lecture, Alec Forshaw will trace the long involvement of William Morris in Bloomsbury, from his arrival on leaving Oxford University to his residences in Red Lion Square, Great Ormond Street and Queen Square, his workshops, his close involvement with the Working Men’s College, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, the Art Workers’ Guild and the Socialist movement, a period covering over forty years of his prolific life.
