26 Shining Light project launched

News

Today (20th September) we are pleased to launch the 26 Shining Light project.  Writers from award-winning group 26 have been paired with a range of 2021 Festival events. The writers have researched and delved into each event, and in some cases interviewed some of the key partners involved in the development of the programme. They have responded creatively and the first pieces are now available to read. Further responses will be uploaded in the lead up to the Festival.

This is the third time writers’ group 26 have partnered with Bloomsbury Festival to create a project that puts writing at the heart of the community. The first in 2019, 26 Leaps, writers were paired with Bloomsbury people who have made small steps that became giant leaps in many different fields of activity and knowledge: science, literature, art, technology, social causes, exploration, and much more. Last year, for EYE:SPY writer’s were each allocated a part of Bloomsbury to explore (either in person or virtually) to uncover some of Bloomsbury’s untold stories.
