CALLING ALL SINGERS – Individuals, Choirs and Groups!
Bloomsbury Festival invites you to take part in workshops and our performance of SING BALLADS OF BLOOMSBURY. Suitable for all adult ages and 12+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult). No specific singing level is required to join in but it helps if you have had a little bit of singing experience at some stage.
WORKSHOPS

at Holy Cross Church, Cromer St
An open rehearsal/workshop for our event on Friday 25 October
This singing workshop is both a drop-in, and by invitation to some choirs who have already shown an interest in taking part. The workshop is part of a larger scale outdoor event, The Cromer Street Family Day that the festival is holiding the same day – you are welcome to come earlier to enjoy all the activities.
Holy Cross Church is at WC1H 8JU, a five minute walk from Euston, King’s Cross and St Pancras Stations, just south of Euston Road

Finding Our Way: singing workshop with Vivien Ellis and The Dragon Café – this is a wider workshop but will feature some of our songs for rehearsal.

All of the songs you learn will be part of an event which is looking back at the history of the streets in Bloomsbury and around the St Giles area. There will also be short readings and some choirs with their own additional song performances.
If you attend a workshop or rehearsal you will be given details of rehearsal times on the afternoon of Friday 25 October.
If coming for the event please arrive 6pm for a 6.30pm start time at St Giles-in-the-Fields-Church, very close to Tottenham Court Rd tube station

Lyrics and Guide Tracks to learn songs all participants will take part in can be downloaded via the links below, and range from a song from the musical Oliver to a well known calypso and an historic ballad which has been set to music and adapted for you to join in.
